Donate to the GS

Everything we do at the Geochemical Society is made possible through our generous members, volunteers and contributors. The GS is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization in the U.S. and donations to the society are tax-exempt to the extent allowed by law.

Why Donate?

Outreach

The GS is a global society and we are committed to making geochemistry more accessible to students and scientists everywhere. We give free membership to students from underrepresented countries. We also give capacity-building grants for programs in countries with low and lower-middle income countries.

Student Grants

Member donations help us award more travel grants to students seeking to attend the Goldschmidt Conference. Grant recipients share their research, receive mentoring, participate in career development workshops, and make new connections at the conference.

Honors

Gifts from the community helped establish several awards and named lectures that recognize outstanding achievements in geochemistry. Donations can be directed toward the Endowed Biogeochemistry Lecture, the John Hayes Award, and the Robert Berner Lecture.
